You will be applying to colgele next fall and will be accepted in the winter. School's will not look down on you if you graduate early and don't start until the next year. they understand that most freshmen want to start when all the freshmen traditionally matriculate in fall as it is easier to transition into colgele life when surrounded by people in the same situation. as for the loans, you will not be able to cover that tuition (much less room and board) solely on government grants and loans taken out by the student. the most grant money you can get is $5350 per year, and this amount is only reserved for the neediest families. Freshmen can take out up to $5500 in student loans. that amount increases every year. Some of those loans are subsidized (interest paid while in school) some are unsubsidized (interest builds while in school). After that the remainder of the bill for the school can be paid out-of-pocket or ur parents can take out money w a parent plus loan. if you and your parents are taking out the full amount of loans for all four years and pay nothing out of pocket then you all are going to be in HUGE debt when you get out of school as the interest on many of those loans will be building the entire time. if u do this, try ur best to pay the interest bills every month as the interest compounds (debt gets larger and larger) by month. you need to think wisely about this decision. can you and ur family afford to have u go to school out of state in an expensive part of the country? i would consider looking into schools in your home state as they are MUCH cheaper. you could always go to Florida after u graduate to work or go to grad school there. . . . please read the webpage below for info on federal loans. hope it helps good luck. . finaid. org/loans/
